Young Living Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it. Lavender is an adaptogen, and therefore can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy. Therapeutic-grade lavender is highly regarded for skin and beauty. It may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. The French scientist René Gattefossé was among the first to discover these properties when he was severely burned in a laboratory explosion. Lavender may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods. Lavender has an approximate ORAC of 3,669 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter. ~Taken From Young Living website.

Personal Testimony for YL Lavender EO:
My 3 year old son has been waking up from night terrors. He would start screaming and stretching and unstretching and you just couldn't console him. We would ask him if he was in pain and he said no. I remembered that Lavender was used for calming and so I made him smell from the Lavender bottle and 15 mins later he was back to peacefully sleeping. That happened another night. Then the third night I had him sniff the lavender before he fell asleep and no night terrors. The fourth night I forgot to have him sniff the oil and he woke up screaming again. Made him sniff the Lavender and he was sleeping 15 mins later. On the fifth and sixth night I remembered to give him a sniff and I put a drop on his pillow of the Young Living Lavender EO before bed and no screaming. He was even asking to sniff it by then as at first he would run away from the oils. Last night, the seventh night, forgot to have him smell it but there was no more screaming. Hopefully his night terrors are over with and I know that I can use Lavender for him again if needed. AHHH, mama gets to have better sleep too.

I had no idea lavender was so versatile!!! I've used essential oils in a group setting before and found orange to be very good in raising my spirits (I've suffered from depression for many years). I'll have to get some when I get a chance. Thank you so much for all this useful information!!
